{"id":19342,"date":"2009-09-23T16:55:07","date_gmt":"2009-09-23T16:55:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alpinelegends.se\/bike-kite-in-the-swiss-alps\/"},"modified":"2009-09-23T16:55:07","modified_gmt":"2009-09-23T16:55:07","slug":"bike-kite-in-the-swiss-alps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alpinelegends.se\/en\/bike-kite-in-the-swiss-alps\/","title":{"rendered":"Bike &amp; Kite in the Swiss Alps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In preparation for my bike ride to the Himalayas\u00a0I am over in Switzerland <br \/>to take on some of the high mountain passes armed with all\u00a0I need in my <br \/>trailer and my swiss half price rail card if it all just get a wee bit to much\u00a0<br \/>I set off.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px;font: 24.0px Helvetica\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2009\/img_0923_54274658.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After flying in to Zurich\u00a0I decided to hop on a train and get my self in to <br \/>base of the mountains to cut out the boring high ways and flat lands and <br \/>concentrate on getting in some 2000m + passes in.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px;font: 24.0px Helvetica\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2009\/img_0912_54274782.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Armed with the power of the banana and a map\u00a0I took time to plan this <br \/>next section of the adventure.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px;font: 24.0px Helvetica\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2009\/img_0920_54275079.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>after a what felt like a life time\u00a0I made it up the mightey Albula pass all 2315m. <br \/>the next section was down hill what a welcomed brake\u00a0I also knew there <br \/>was a kitesurfing session to be had \ud83d\ude42 in\u00a0silvaplana.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px;font: 24.0px Helvetica\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2009\/supmitjil_54275390.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>when\u00a0I arrived it was not hard to find Chris as he was off out to <br \/>take the dog for a paddle as you do !!!<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px;font: 24.0px Helvetica\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2009\/img_0999_54275536.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Kite session at 1800m and 3000m peeks in the back ground fantastic.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px;font: 24.0px Helvetica\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2009\/img_1006_54275563.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>this was my first fresh water kite experience and\u00a0I was loveing it no <br \/>salt water in the eyes.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px;font: 24.0px Helvetica\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2009\/img_1005_54277373.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Air time !!<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px;font: 24.0px Helvetica\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2009\/img_0934_54276254.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now after all that\u00a0exercise in one day where better to go than the\u00a0<br \/>Hotel Laudinella just down the road in\u00a0St. Moritz for a mouth watering <br \/>Chateau briand oh la la.<\/p>\n<p>I can be shure that\u00a0I will find no\u00a0Chateau briand in the Tibetan plateaus <br \/>keep tuned for the next part of the adventure\u00a0Tibet here\u00a0I come!!!!
