{"id":19484,"date":"2010-06-19T23:17:12","date_gmt":"2010-06-19T23:17:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alpinelegends.se\/exotic-summer-skiing-in-stryn\/"},"modified":"2010-06-19T23:17:12","modified_gmt":"2010-06-19T23:17:12","slug":"exotic-summer-skiing-in-stryn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alpinelegends.se\/en\/exotic-summer-skiing-in-stryn\/","title":{"rendered":"Exotic summer skiing in Stryn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On my way from Stockholm back down to the summer Alps<br \/>I thought I could use some skiing in one of the best summer <br \/>ski centers of the world; Stryn, in amazingly beautiful Norway!<br \/>Not really on the way down, but still full of reasons for passing<br \/>by, I took the stunning scenic route over Beitost\u00f6len, to check<br \/>out some tempting mountain faces for summer freeriding lines.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2010\/dsc_0912_94456478.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Heading on the winding roads finally I passed by the last tunnel to be <br \/>met by reminding views like this.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2010\/dsc_0923_94456924.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The reasons for coming here in the summer time are many, and mostly <br \/>easily explained by the simplicity of the beauty of the nature.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2010\/dsc_0929_94457348.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During the short time I had in Stryn\u00a0in the impressive surroundings<br \/>of the hosting house of Graff and the splendid &#8220;private&#8221; club Bob Bar,<br \/>and my favourite guide\/host Johan, off course\u00a0I experienced some<br \/>of the top class summer skiing that I came for.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2010\/dsc00323_94458167.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Korta baksidan, &#8220;The Short Backside&#8221;, showed up some magical virgin<br \/>fluid powder on the top, and some rough crunchy white gold in the couloir&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2010\/dsc00325_94458931.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There is always a reason to go to Stryn in the early summer, whether <br \/>you are into skiing or enjoying a drink with Jossan and the crew at the<br \/>pub at Folven, or spontaneously as me and Johan, take the ferry to Bergen\u00a0 <br \/>and enjoy an interesting\u00a0concert\u00a0with Alice In Chains (!!!!) and Rammstein&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn2.cdnme.se\/cdn\/9-1\/490171\/images\/2010\/dsc00330_94461513.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lovely cruising on the sunny Sognefjorden!<\/p>\n<p>Over &#038; Out! \/\/ daHultberg<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On my way from Stockholm back down to the summer AlpsI thought I could use some skiing in one of the best summer ski centers of the world; Stryn, in&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[29],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-19484","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-other"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/alpinelegends.se\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/19484","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/alpinelegends.se\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/alpinelegends.se\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/alpinelegends.se\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/alpinelegends.se\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=19484"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/alpinelegends.se\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/19484\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/alpinelegends.se\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=19484"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/alpinelegends.se\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=19484"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/alpinelegends.se\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=19484"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
