After a short trip to Italy with a client and a legendary<br \/>\nkick off in Austria I am finally installed in my apartment at Titlisstrasse. One of the<br \/>\nbig advantages of having an alpine office is that you can take an hour or two off for<br \/>\na breakfast or a lunch run.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4135\" title=\"DSC_0668\" src=\"http:\/\/www.alpinelegends.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC_0668-404x270.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"404\" height=\"270\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My partner in crime for these runs has always been Matz Balmer, the brother of our<br \/>\nown Dahu Chris Balmer. A phone call, ski boots on, a quick run and in two hours you<br \/>\nare back in the office again. This is what happened this morning. First gondola up and<br \/>\nback in front of the computer at 10:00. Not bad.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4138\" title=\"DSC_0672\" src=\"http:\/\/www.alpinelegends.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC_0672-404x270.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"404\" height=\"270\" \/><\/p>\n<p>-22, no wind, fresh powder, no people and a beautiful December morning sunrise.<br \/>\nLooked promising.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4139\" title=\"DSC_0675\" src=\"http:\/\/www.alpinelegends.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC_0675-404x270.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"404\" height=\"270\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During a dinner at the kick off we ended up in a discussion about Freeride. Everyone<br \/>\nis talking about that word and the &#8220;Freeriders&#8221;, but what exactly is it? Is it an image,<br \/>\na state of mind, the way we ski or the size of our skis? We couldn\u00b4t really come up<br \/>\nwith a good answer, but we all agreed on that Laub is definitely the prefect run, the<br \/>\nultimate &#8220;practical&#8221; freeride set up. Gondola and chair lift to the top, short traverse,<br \/>\n1200 vertical meters of north facing slope, a restaurant at the bottom and a taxi<br \/>\ntaking you back to the gondola. Minimum effort, maximum smiles.
