Flower Power in Lenzerheide
Last week it was time to take our minibuses and head for the Alps.
We unpacked our luggage and got ourselves organized for the season
in Engelberg
Our next stop after unpacking was Lenzerheide to celebrate the 40th
birthday of Alpine Legends Swiss connection, Chris Balmer.
Two days before we arrived the green hills of Lenzerheide got a huge dump
of fresh powder. So we took the opportunity to ski with the locals on the
opening day of the season in Lenzerheide.
Mr Balmer on a ski bus filled with friends.
Only a small amount of the system was open, but still made for a great days
skiing.
As a Swede you are not spoiled with sun in the autumn so we soaked up
the sun and enjoyed some great powder runs.
Green is the theme…
We got an exciting run through the woods…
…and a couple of runs in the part of the system that was not yet open.
Our CEO:s blushing bride, Clara finds us the next turns.
In the end every run was the last and when we finally skied down it was
only the evening sun on the Rothorn side.
We went back to Kurhaus and made a quick change from ski clothes to
flower power clothes. Me and Uffe teamed up with Karin and Mattias.
Chris had invited family and friends to a flower power extravaganza
at the infamous Kurhaus.
The Balmer Family
Chris treated us to a delicious dinner in Kurhaus dining room. Here he is
having a good time with our hippiefied CEO Erik.
Clara & Mike were also enjoying the 60:s vibe.
But happiest of all was the man the myth the legend Mats Balmer,
aka Elvis with his harem of women.
Our dashing italian connection was charming everyone with his new look.
A serious number of tight trousers were on show…
Thanks Chris for a great party! We wouldn´t mind if you were to make
this an annual event to kick off the season.
Cheers!
